The Toronto Port Authority and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport are proud to be partners in building a prosperous city. Our responsibilities include paying our fair share in Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILT) to the City of Toronto to maintain and improve the services we use. We've reached an agreement to pay the City $0.94 for every passenger that uses the airport, the same rate Pearson International pays its host municipality. That doesn't include PILT for non-airport operations. For 2012, the TPA paid the City $2.7 million for airport operations, $1.6 million for non-airport operations, and $8.9 million in aggregate PILT for all TPA properties.
